Park Hae Jin Generously Donates $100K To Flood Victims In Busan

Last week South Korea's second-largest city, Busan, was hit by unseasonable rain. After a few days flood waters had gotten so high that they tore through the city streets damaging property and taking five lives.  The local power plant was forced to close due to the flooding and airport service was disrupted.

As the flood waters begin to recede, the damage it has left behind has meant financial worries for many of Busan's residents.

Actor Park Hae Jin has stepped up to help those in need.  The Doctor Stanger actor has sent a large donation to the southern city to help flood victims rebuild their homes, businesses, and lives.

Park Hae Jin reportedly donated 100 million won (approximately $100,000 USD) to benefit of the victims of flood in Busan and in honor of the Korean Chuseok holiday next week.

Chuseok is the Korean Thanksgiving celebration and gifts of money and food are often presented to friends, family, and colleagues.

This is not the first time Park Hae Jin has donated to a worthy cause.  He previously helped the grieving families of the Sewol ferry tragedy victims who lose their loved ones last April.

The amount of the previous donation was never publically revealed, but the actor relayed a message that he hoped the money he donated would help the families start new lives as well as help them with daily expenses and therapy to cope with the incident.
