Death Of Wolverine Comic Book To Be The Plot Of Upcoming Marvel Movie 'Wolverine 2' Starring Hugh Jackmann? Release Date Of Comics This September

The Death of Wolverine comic book series is Marvel's latest surprise to its loyal fans. This year certainly marks the end of favorite classic characters, following the ending of world's favorite Japanese franchise cartoon Doraemon and the heroic death of America's famous red head Archie Andrews.

Writer Paul Cornell already hinted this tragic event when he stripped Logan of his healing powers at the end of Wolverine Vol. 5.

During the C2E2 2014 in Chicago, Charles Soule confirms the death of Wolverine in the comic saying during an interview with Newsrama:

"Nrama: The title is Death of Wolverine - forgive me for belaboring a point, but will Wolverine/Logan/Jamie Howlett die in this series when it comes out in September?

Soule: Yes. It's not figurative, or some sort of title-based sleight-of-hand. Wolverine will not survive the series. But I think knowing that actually adds something to the story. It gives it a tone that most Wolverine tales don't have. We've seen him live through... well, just about everything. Now, it's time to see him die - but it's how he goes, and why, that I think readers will find interesting."

It has been reported by Entertainment Weekly that Cornell is preparing the follow up story entitled "Three Months to Die" that will lead to a mini-series called The Death of Wolverine, which will be released on June.

According to the online gossip publication, Marvel confirmed the news and that the four-issue project will be penned by Charles Soule in illustration by Steve McNiven. The Death of Wolverine comic series on the other hand will be released throughout the month of September.

"For a long time, no matter who Wolverine was battling, he's been the eternal victor," editor Mike Marts explained to Entertainment Weekly. "He almost always comes out on top. Now he finally comes up against an adversary that he cannot win against, he cannot fight. What does that mean for this character who's been around for hundred years?"

Both Mike Marts and Charles Soule are quite frank about Logan's unfortunate ending through Marvel's The Death of Wolverine comic, saying:

"You're gonna be entering into a world without Wolverine. That affects not only his teammates, but also the Marvel Universe at large. We've got a lot of things in the works already." Soule on the other hand, said, "I hope that when people finish it, they'll feel like he died in a way that was true to him."

What do you think Kpopstarz readers, will Marvel really make the bold move in killing off Logan in The Death of Wolverine comic book series?
