Fans Decry Online Comparison Of Ladies' Code Singer EunB's Tragic Death To Other K-Pop Scandals

Since the tragic passing of the 21-year-old Ladies' Code singer Go Eun Bi, known to fans as EunB, social media has been flooded with K-pop fans around the world rattling off the number of scandals in 2014, including Park Bom's drug scandal, the ongoing lawsuit between EXO's Kris and SM Entertainment and f(x)'s Sulli going on hiatus.

Some K-pop fans, however, are outraged that EunB's tragic death early Wednesday morning, after a vehicle carrying her and her four bandmates reportedly crashed into a guardrail on the Yeongdong Expressway outside Seoul, is being lumped in with the year's other K-pop scandals.

"Are people seriously comparing EunB dying to Kris leaving EXO, Park Bom's drug scandal, Baekhyun dating Taeyeon and Sulli going on hiatus?" tweeted angeljoe1123 on Twitter.

"Kris leaving EXO or Sulli and Baekhyun dating aren't as bad as the Ladies Code car accident," added Dara Corner on September 3.

On Wednesday, Ladies' Code's record lable Polaris Entertainment has released a statement on the fatal auto accident, which also left two other band members in critical condition.

"Near Suwon around 1:30 a.m., the car that Ladies' Code had been riding in after finishing up their schedule in Daegu experienced a problem where the back wheel came off," said the statement.

"With the back wheel coming off on the rainy road, the car ended up spinning several times before hitting the guard rail. Due to this, EunB tragically passed away."

"Currently, RiSe is in critical condition and Sojung is receiving treatment for her injuries," the statement continued.

"The other members and the manager and stylist have no major injuries. The members will be transferred from Suwon to a hospital in Seoul, and the location for the wake [for EunB] has not yet been decided on. Our company employees are also currently in great shock and are experiencing sadness that cannot be expressed in words."
