Taeyang Thanks Fans For Love And Support As Japanese Tour Comes To Close

Singer Taeyang successfully wrapped his solo tour in Japan.

The member of Big Bang released his first Japanese solo album titled "RISE [+SOLAR & HOT]" on August 13 and ranked No. 2 on the Oricon Daily Chart and Oricon Weekly Chart, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

Taeyang started his "SOL JAPAN TOUR 'RISE' 2014" concerts with performances at the Grand Cube venue in Osaka last month.

The 26-year-old R&B sensation toured a total of six cities, holding 16 concerts and performing for a total of 70,000 fans.

"Rise" has become ultra-successful, but Taeyang recently revealed that he's not 100% happy with his latest solo album.

"As a musician, there are certain artistic qualities from this album that I'm unsatisfied with, but I am extremely thankful and grounded that people like it -- especially because it's an album that holds my emotions, memories and musical values that I have felt and gained in the last four years while I was working on it," Taeyang told Billboard.

Starting from the beginning, Taeyang made sure that he was a part of everything and anything that had to do with "Rise." The same rules applied for his recent tour, as the artist was reportedly involved in the staging, lighting, costume and band selection.

Throughout the course of his tour, Taeyang grasped the hearts of fans in Japan with his shirtless performance of his hits including "1 A.M" and "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

The last performance garnered the most explosive reactions from fans, as fellow Big Bang member G-Dragon made a special appearance to sing "Stay With Me" with Taeyang. For the encore performance of the show, the idol members performed Big Bang's hits including "Bad Boy" and "Fantastic Baby."

"I successfully finished my solo tour in Japan because of the love and support you guys gave me. I'm going to use your ongoing love and support to get better and work harder," stated Taeyang at the end of his final concert.
