Ladies' Code Members In Car Accident That Led To Two Deaths

Tragedy struck Ladies' Code, an up-and-coming girl group, on September 3. The five members were in a car heading to Seoul when a wheel fell off, causing the car to spin out of control and hit a guard rail. Three members were critically injured, and EunB, sadly, succumbed to her injuries immediatelyRiSe was brought to the hospital and passed away on September 7 after some of the best surgeons in Korea operated on her.

Sojung remains in the hospital, while Ashley and Zuny are recovering from severe shock. EunB and RiSe have been mourned by the larger K-Pop community, and the accident has raised awareness about unsafe driving practices and the need to protect idols better.

Dahee Arrested After Attempting to Blackmail Lee Byung Hun

GLAM's Dahee and a companion, likely to be a model, were arrested after Lee Byung Hun reported that the two were trying to blackmail him for 5 billion KRW (around $5 million.) The two had an incriminating video of the three of them discussing lewd topics, and threatened to make it public if he didn't pay them. The Hollywood actor's claims were investigated and Dahee ended up turning herself in. Unique Korean laws may lead to Dahee gaining life imprisonment.

Kim Hyun Joong Testifies

Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong told the police that he had hit his girlfriend on one occasion, but insisted that he hadn't abused her regularly, as she reported to the police. The idol has come under fire for continuing international promotions despite being under investigation for domestic abuse.
