Sam Smith Announces 2015 Tour Dates; 'In The Lonely Hour' Regains No. 1 Spot In UK Hit Chart

He's on a roll. British singer Sam Smith's tour 2015 in UK, Australia and New Zealand has been announced in the same week his single "In The Lonely Hour" reclaims the top spot on the U.K. Hit chart.

The "Stay With Me" singer Sam Smith's tour 2015 in the UK has been slated and given dates. While he still has shows scheduled for the last quarter of the year, the dates for his May 2015 had been announced, starting on May 16 at Glasgow.

Smith will play two-night shoes in each of the city included in his tour which are Glasgow, Manchester, Wolverhampton and London.

Apart from the slated UK performances, Smith will also reportedly play in Australia and New Zealand and have confirmed a "5-date all-ages Australian tour" in April and May 2015.

Sam Smith's 2015 tour in Australia will reportedly include performances in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The announcements for the dates of the tour were made in the same week the British singer's album climbed the number 1 spot in the UK hit chart again. "In The Lonely Hour" debuted in June at number 1 and was atop the charts for two weeks.

In an interview, Smith opened up about the inspiration for his record. "I just can't wait to be in a relationship and fall in love," said Smith. "I'm always thinking about the future, but I just hope all this gets easier."

The 22-year-old singer also talked about his craft. "At the moment, I am in control, but it takes a lot of my energy to stay in control. But I'm willing to do this for the rest of my life. If being an open wound, being sensitive and emotional is the price to pay for being able to stand on stage and hear people sing my songs back to me, then so be it," said Smith.

Tickets to Sam Smith's 2015 tour have already been put up on sale.
