JYP Entertainment Gets Closer To Music Domination With ‘JYP Nation’ Concert

JYP Entertainment, the management company responsible for the explosive popularity of idol groups such as 2AM, 2PM and miss A, recently held a concert showcasing the acts of their most well known artists.

The "2014 JYP Nation-One Mic" opened in Seoul and continued on to Hong Kong and Japan, where they wrapped up their final set of performances, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

The concert was held at the Tokyo Yoyoki Stadium from September 5 to 7, with the idol groups holding four performances for their fans.

The lineup for the JYP concert was beyond impressive, with Park Jin Young performing along with 2AM, 2PM, Sunmi, Yaeun, miss A, Baek A Yeon, 15&, GOT7 and more.

Park Jin Young, the founder of JYP Entertainment, has churned out idol success stories continuously using his understanding of the K-pop world.

"A consistent image can create stars with high added value. Physical appearance, hairstyle, costume, dance, music, marketing, music video and even interviews should be closely related under a single image. We're making such singers with a consistent image here. When I pick potential singers, I set out the direction where they should go within a year," Park told the Chosun Ilbo during an interview back in 2007.

The concert in Japan started with a joint performance of "Don't Leave Me" and "Come Back After Hearing This Song" and was followed by Park Jin Young's "Only You" and "Honey."

Idol group 15& were next with their performance of "I Guess You Can Tell."

The idol members were seen teaming up for different tracks as well, with Baek A Yeon, GOT7's Mark, Jackson and Bam Bam collaborating for "A Good Boy." Baek was also seen singing with 15&'s Park Jimin, Yaeun and 2PM's Nichkhun for the performance of "Be My Baby."

"2014 JYP Nation-One Mic" was the perfect opportunity for the JYP idol groups to promote their upcoming events in Japan. GOT7 was able to promote their upcoming Japanese debut single album "Around the World," which will be released on October 22.

The concert ended with another joint performance of the idol groups as they sang "10 Out Of 10," "Nobody" and "Hands Up" along with their Japanese fans.

Evident from the recent set of JYP performances that he put together, Park Jin Young is still the hardcore music producer that he's always been.

Despite his intimidating presence, the singer stated that he just wants "people to remember me as a player who lived a joyful life."
