K-Pop Training Systems Gain Global Popularity

With the increasing popularity of the Hallyu, Korea's idol group training system has become a role model for overseas entertainment agencies.

There have been many foreign idol group trainees that have come to Korea to train and return to their country to debut as a group.

In Thailand, rising star James is a rookie idol who has received training in Korea to become an idol star.

James stated that he was surprised that Korean idol trainees worked out and practiced song and dance all day except when it was time to eat.

He also couldn't understand why other trainees would cry when one trainee did not pass his test during training.

Many Thailand stars come to Korea to train due to K-Pop's global competitive edge.

One Thailand agency stated that they send their trainees to Korea because they need to change and see how hard it is.

Thailand is also known for K-pop cover dances as well. It will be interesting to see how these two cultures will continue to work together and expand the hallyu.
