After the recent tragedy involving Ladies' Code, another car accident involving a K-pop idol has been reported.

On September 12 at 3:30 a.m., Big Bang's Seungri hit a Mercedes-Benz while driving in Dongbuichon-dong. Since the accident, video footage of the accident taking place has reportedly surfaced online.

"It is a relief that Seungri did not sustain injuries," said record label YG Entertainment to My Daily. "After he was moved to the hospital and received treatment, the results showed that there were no problems with his body. It was not drunk driving."

According to allkpop, Seungri will not undergo surgery, despite sustaining internal bleeding.

"The report that [Seungri] injured his liver and is undergoing surgery for it is false," said a record label rep. "Although he sustained slight internal bleeding, the medical team made the diagnosis that it's something that will be fully healed if he takes it easy for a week."

"It's true he hurt his liver, but he's just receiving treatment, not undergoing surgery. We expect him to stay at the hospital for about a week. He will participate in the investigation with the police after he finishes his treatment."

Despite Seungri not sustaining major injuries, the video of the car accident shows the Big Bang member's Porsche swerving into the left lane suddenly and flipping over as a result.

Although the cause of the accident is still unknown, many observers have their own theories on the matter.

"If he wasn't drunk driving then I assume he dozed off behind the wheel," commented xxlolixx on allkpop. "The way he hit that car, swerved behind it, and crashed I assumed he didn't have much control or was confused. This was just a mistake most likely. Hope he recovers."
