Conan O’Brien To Honor George Harrison In Weeklong Tribute On TBS: Beck, Norah Jones, And Dhani Harrison To Perform

George Harrison, people can't stop thinking about you.

It has just been announced that "Conan" on TBS will pay tribute to Harrison in a weeklong celebration of the late musician and member of legendary rock group The Beatles. The special episodes will air from Sept. 22 through Sept. 25.

The unique event on Conan O'Brien's late night show will take place just as "George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75," a reissued collection of Harrison's first six solo albums, is released on Sept. 22.

Several performers are scheduled to perform covers of Harrison's songs during the television tribute, including Beck, Norah Jones, and Harrison's 36-year-old son Dhani Harrison.

Additional musicians are expected to appear as well for performances that will be filmed on the set of "Conan" in Burbank, Calif.

"George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75" is comprised of Harrison's solo music under The Beatles' Apple Records.

According to Billboard, the retrospective set includes "a special DVD with a previously unseen seven-minute film and a book with an introduction by Dhani Harrison, essays by Kevin Howlett, and previously unpublished photos."

The collection will be available on CD and for digital download.

In addition to the "Conan" celebration, George Harrison will also be honored with "George Fest," a music festival dedicated to his legacy.

The event will be held on Sept. 28th at the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

In a press release, the festival made the following announcement regarding its stellar line-up:

"The Best Fest house band, the acclaimed Cabin Down Below Band, will be joined by an impressive and illustrious cast of musicians. Those confirmed to perform at the first-ever George Fest include Brian Wilson, Norah Jones, Brandon Flowers & Mark Stoermer (of The Killers), Wayne Coyne & Steven Drozd (of The Flaming Lips), Ben Harper, Ann Wilson (of Heart), Britt Daniel (of Spoon), "Weird Al" Yankovic, Nick Valensi (of The Strokes), Dhani Harrison, Ian Astbury, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Butch Walker, Cold War Kids, Karen Elson, Brian Bell (of Weezer), Big Black Delta, Chase Cohl, Jamestown Revival, Matt Sorum, Ryan Miller (of Guster), The Black Ryder and Ginnger Shankar. Organizers say to expect more big surprises as well."
