Super Junior Plots Music Chart Domination With ‘Mamacita’

Boy group Super Junior has been on a roll since making their comeback this month.

The 10-member group was spotted topping music charts in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong with their seventh studio album "Mamacita," which was released on September 1.

The group's successful comeback is even more special due to the return of their lead singer Lee Teuk, who was discharged from the army just in time to join his fellow idol members.

"I can't believe that I came back, and every day feels like a dream. I promise to keep doing my best in everything," stated Lee, according to the publication Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

The hit album ranked No. 1 on Korea's major album sales charts, including Hunter Chart and Sinela Records Chart while topping the Gaon Chart the first week of its release, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

Super Junior was seen ranking high on Taiwan's FIVE MUSIC chart as well as Hong Kong's hmv Chart with their album. Their single under the same title came in at the top 100 on one of Hong Kong's most popular music sites, KKBOX.

"Mamacita" has gone viral since its debut and has garnered the attention of fans and various media outlets alike.

The boy band has even gone on to win the top spot on multiple Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Show! Music, Inkigayo and M! Countdown.

Along with the success of their new album, Super Junior officially launched their world tour, "Super Show 6," with a three-day concert at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. The idol group also made the achievement of performing their 100th concert on the last day of their Seoul event.

The boys have been rumored to gather in Lee Teuk's room after each performance and are expected to do the same at the end of their concerts during their world tour.

"We just like to tell each other that we all worked hard and plan for the future,"
explained Super Junior during an interview with Ilgan Sports back in 2012.
