"Halo: Reach," one of the free games for Xbox Live Gold members announced for September, is now available.

Beginning today, September 16, until the last day of the month, Bungie's 2010 shooter game, "Halo: Reach" is going to be free for the Xbox Live members with Gold subscription. Gamers can get their own copy of this free game as part of Microsoft's "Games With Gold" offering.

As described on its Wikipedia page, "Halo: Reach" is set "in the year 2552, where humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant." As for the gameplay, the players "control Noble Six, a member of an elite supersoldier squad, when the human world known as Reach falls under Covenant attack."

The game replaces another Xbox 360 game, "Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, which was available for 0 Microsoft Point from September 1-15.

Aside from the free games for Xbox Live Gold members for the Xbox 360 console, Xbox One owners also get 2 titles with no cost at all.

The list of free games for Xbox Live Gold members for September 2014 includes "Crimson Dragon," which was already free last month. Meanwhile, "Super Time Force" is the new addition to the list. Both are available for the entire month of September.

After taking advantage of the free games for Xbox Live Gold members for September 2014, players can also get hold of more Xbox titles with discounted prices such as Metro 2033.

Microsoft's Deals With Gold Week 10 offers a number of Xbox 360 and Xbox One games on sale. Currently, "Metro Last Light" and "Metro 2033" are available with 67% and 75% discount, respectively.

Aside from Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, other discounted Xbox 360 games included in the list this week's Deals With Gold are Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, Pac Man & the Ghostly Adventures, and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. Various add-ons are also available, with discounts as high as 80 percent.

For the Xbox One users with Gold membership, Valiant Hearts is available with 33 percent off its original price. Discounted add-ons are Killer Instinct Season 1 Retro Costume Pack and Battlefield 4 Engineer Shortcut Kit.
