Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 Release Date: New Dual SIM Handset W/ 4-inch Display, 1Ghz Dual-Core Processor; Soon To Be Available?

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3: Specs of what could be Samsung’s next dual SIM variant, dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3, may appear in store shelves very soon. A GSM report notes that a Mumabi shop already has a unit in stock.

The device’s package shows that the Duos 3 is a dual-SIM smartphone and has a 4-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 resolution and a 5MP rear camera.

It’s very possible then that the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 is only weeks away from launch. The Android smartphone’s predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, was officially posted on Samsung’s website November 2013, a story posted by PhoneArena on the same month shows.

Phone’s Review, citing an earlier report, writes that the handset will be made available for RS 8,590 or $142. A quick search on Google shows that an unlocked version of the handset’s predecessor, the Duos 2, is available for an average price of $150.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 is a dual-sim handset that sports decent features and is mainly aimed at the lower-end of the market. Though high quality it doesn’t carry the high-end specs of Samsung’s other Galaxy line of products, particularly its flagships.

The Duos 3’s rear shooter has LED flash and there’s also a VGA front-facing camera. Under the hood, the Duos 3 runs on 1 GHz dual-core CPU powered with 512MB of RAM. GSM Arena notes that internal storage for the unit is at 4GB, 2.1GB of which us user accessible. It’s expected that the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 will have stroage expandable via MicroSD.

Phones Review note that connectivity options for the unit include a 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/GLONASS, and the dual SIM phone also has FM Radio with RDS and a 3.5-mm audio jack.
