Linkin Park Tour 2014: Mike Shinoda And Chester Bennington Hints Another Album Release Soon? Vocalists Talks About 'The Hunting Party'

Linkin Park is on tour this 2014 as they are set to hit San Diego, which started last July 24 and will visit Germany on November 4 to end the series of shows.

The 2014 tour is part of their promotion of the band's recently released album called "The Hunting Party".

Their latest album was released last June 17 and is considered to be their sixth studio album - a follow up to their "Living Things and Recharged" album.

The upcoming release is said to have the touch of the "old Linkin Park" which was fused with guitar filled tracks but still retaining the electronic influences and melodic overtones the band has been carrying from their past records.

Vocalist Mike Shinoda believes that "The Hunting Party" will take the band "back to basics" to give their listeners the simple rock music they delivered during "Hybrid Theory" but still maintaining the new "Linkin Park sound"

"One of the things that's funny about the story of this album is that the earliest demos were not heavy, rock demos, they were softer, more I'd say, indie alternative style and a lot of them more electronic-based," he says.

"I like to listen to this stuff but I don't feel like making it. I feel like there's so much of it out there.

"So to make an album that is so specific took a lot of focus."

"There's this visceral, heavy, aggressive thing that I wanted to hear which was simultaneously raw and dirty but also futuristic and had sample elements and electronic elements that were slightly understated but still as raw as the drums and guitar.

"I couldn't find it to listen to and that's usually a key to us to what we want to make."
