Big Bang Vocalist Daesung Reinvents Himself With 'D-Lite'

Following the success of his recent tour in Japan, Big Bang member Daesung will be releasing the DVD of the collection of his solo performances along with a new mini-album titled "D-Lite."

The idol member will be releasing the Japanese album on October 29 with the help of the record label YGEX, according to the Korean media outlet Osen Entertainment.

"I'm glad I'm able to show a different side of myself outside of Big Bang though this project," stated Daesung.

The upcoming album will consist of three new tracks and will be released in nine different versions, which will all be in Japanese.

The title track is "Look At Me Gisoon," which proved to be a hit in Korea as well, according to the publication. The Korean version of the song was written and composed by fellow Big Bang member and leader of the group G-Dragon.

The second track is titled "Amazing," and it was co-written by Japanese entertainer Yamata Kenichi. The third song on "D-Lite" will be a cover of the famous Japanese track "Old Diary," which was originally sung by artist Wada Akiko.

The final track is the popular Japanese track from the '70s titled "It Doesn't Stop," originally sung by Yamamoto Linda.

"D-Lite" is expected to appeal to listeners of all ages as it's a collection of tracks from the "trot" genre, which Japanese K-pop fans will be quite familiar with.

The DVD that will be released on the same day "D-Lite" drops will also have the music videos for "Look At Me Gisoon" and "Shut Up." Fans will be able to experience the second part to his "Guide To Vacationing" segment, which was seen on Daesung's first DVD release.

"I hope everyone is able to sing, dance and fully enjoy my music once the new album is released," stated Daesung, according to his management agency YG Entertainment.
