2PM Spreads Hallyu Love With 'Go Crazy!' And 'Midaretemina'

Idol group 2PM is dominating music charts in Japan with their recently released single "Midaretemina."

The boy band topped the Oricon Daily Chart in Japan two days in a row and has sold 55,099 copies of their eighth Japanese single on September 17, the day of its release, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

2PM's "Midaretemina" also topped various sections of the Tower Records World Chart the first day it was released to the public. The K-pop group was seen ranking No. 1 on the Tower Records World Chart while they came in at No. 2 and No. 3 on the two different sales charts.

The six-member idol group has contributed quite a bit to spreading the Korean wave, Hallyu, in Japan. Two years ago, the pop group taught Korean on Japan's public broadcast NHK, according to the media outlet Asia One.

The idol members were seen spreading Korean culture once again with their music and fashionable party-wear at a fan event that was recently held in Japan to promote their single.

The live-performance during the event was the highlight of the night, with the six-member group performing their hit "Fight," which was written and composed by member Taecyeon, as well as their songs "Midaretmeina" and "Hands Up." For their encore performance, 2PM performed "Midaretmeina" once again.

Aside from their comeback in Japan, 2PM has made one of their most explosive returns to the K-pop industry with their full-length album "Go Crazy!" The album comes after a 16-month hiatus, according to Billboard.

The title track under the same title has topped various music charts both in and out of Korea since its release, all due to its addictive beat and high-energy music video.

"This is my first time listening to 2PM, and I AM ADDICTED TO THEM ALREADY! Who's who? Someone tell me? Thanks!," commented YouTube user Edrian Rowen Macawile.
