Chef Gordon Ramsay News: ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Host Taking Over Asia With New Restaurants? Claims Rent In Hong Kong More Expensive Than In London

Chef Gordon Ramsay news reveal that the "Hell's Kitchen" host will take over Asia with his new restaurants, even as he complained that the rent in Hong Kong is more expensive than in London.

Latest Chef Gordon Ramsay news Channel News Asia hinted of a new opening on the Bread Street Kitchen & Bar as the British chef is reportedly looking for a new apprentice in Singapore.

"The individual must have a great palate, and be able to cook under pressure. When you are comfortable in the kitchen, you have to push yourself to the next level. I would be brutally honest - cooking is a passion, it is not a job," he said.

Chef Gordon Ramsay is notorious for shouting expletives as contestants of "Hell's Kitchen" when they fail to meet his expectations.

The website also said that "Hell's Kitchen" host Chef Gordon Ramsay is opening a restaurant in Singapore, as the chef said: "The further expansion into Asia is an exciting move for us and will see our successful London concepts being transferred and tailored to this new market."

Meanwhile, the Southern China Morning Post more reported Chef Gordon Ramsay news as the Michelin chef opened the Bread Street Kitchen and & Bar along Wyndham Street in Hong Kong a few days back.

"Let me tell you, rents are cheaper in London. In this business, we don't like to see any restaurant go down, there's nothing worse," he said. "We're not the only restaurateurs in the city faced with such colossal rents."

However, on the bright side, he said the expensive costs of opening a restaurant will help the owner focus on the quality in order to survive. "It makes you work harder to be a success, it makes you strive for consistency. It's the same in New York, Paris and London - this rent issue is not going to slow down."

According to the publication, "Hell's Kitchen" host Chef Gordon Ramsay will also open another resto in Macau in 2015. The British chef operates around 25 restaurants all over the world.
