Ghostbusters 3 Rumored Casts In The Big Screen! Will It Be An All Female Lead? Find Out More Of This Long Awaited Supernatural Comedy Of All Times!

Good news to all Ghostbusters fans! The long wait is over! After two and a half decades of waiting, a third instalment for the movie has now been confirmed!

In an interview with 62-year-old Dan Aykroyd on Alan Carr's Chattyman, he confirmed that the movie is indeed coming into reality. "Well, I'm 100% sure that's going to get made. What I'd like to do is - 30 years on we're into this now - I want to figure out how we can go on for another 30, so the whole team is focused on rebuilding the Ecto - think of Ghostbusters 3 as the Ecto-mobile."

"It's in the garage now, there's no motor, no transmission, no breaks. We're going to rebuild the whole Ghostbusters thing into something that's... not a toy, or one sequel or two movies or a television show."

Dan Aykroyd is one of the writers and directors that made the original Ghostbusters in 1984. He also starred as Dr. Raymond Stantz in the movie that is considered as one of the best supernatural comedy movies in that year.

No official casts have been confirmed confirmed yet. However, there are speculations that the forthcoming Ghostbusters movie will include an all-female cast that will be led by Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy and Kirsten Wiig.

Dan Aykroyd will definitely reprise his role as Dr. Stantz while actor Bill Murray said in an interview with Dazed Digital last March, "Oh that I'm not in a rush to do the Ghostbusters movie? We made the first Ghostbusters - it was one of the great movies, one of the great entertainments of all time. Then we made a second one; it was okay, right? So what are we going to do? Are we going to rush to make a third one? It would be great if you could make one that was as good as the first one.

It would probably be good if you could make one that was as good as the second one. But you know, there was The Godfather. Then there was The Godfather II. And then there was The Godfather III... the franchise is fantastic. But I find that you don't really lose by saying no in show business. If you say no sometimes they come back with a better script. Or sometimes it just goes away. But I don't know. Are you thinking of going back to school?"

Ghostbusters 3 will start filming January of 2015 but release date has not been confirmed yet. Aykroyd also added, "It's going to be a whole kind of property that will continue on, so that 30 years from now, a nice talk show host and another Ghostbuster - younger and thinner - will be sitting talking about the 30 year run."
