Korean Network KBS Concerned 2PM’s ‘Go Crazy’ Will ‘Negatively Affect’ Teens

Not everyone is crazy about boy band 2PM's new single "Go Crazy."

The lyrics for three versions of "Go Crazy," including "Go Crazy (djnure VS. Fingazz Remix)", "Go Crazy BOYTOY Vibe MIX" and "Go Crazy BOYTOY Crazy MIX," have been determined as "unsuitable for broadcast" by the Korean network KBS.

"We were concerned it would negatively affect the mental states of teens," KBS announced in a statement, according to the Korean publication Naver.

"We've decided to go crazy. We're getting ready for round 2," are the lyrics that are being deemed inappropriate by the network.

2PM submitted their title track for review in late August and had to alter their lyrics. The single was given approval by the network after the second review, according to Allkpop.

"2PM submitted their full album for review, but the lyrics that were determined as unsuitable during the first round of review remained in the album," the statement read.

Despite the backlash 2PM is receiving for "Go Crazy," the K-pop group's fourth studio album is doing well on music charts in both Korea and Japan since it was released on September 15.

2PM was seen ranking No. 1 and No. 2 on the Tower Records Combined Sales Chart. The album came in at No. 3 on Oricon's Overseas Album Chart as well.

The six-member K-pop group's recently released album debuted at No. 1 on the weekly chart for the Korean music site Soribada, according to the website Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

2PM will be holding an autograph-signing event for 100 randomly selected fans at the Korean Wave Star Street located in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul on September 25, according to the website Yahoo Celebrity Philippines.

100 fans will be selected from those who submit an application after purchasing 2PM's new album at the Book&Music store.

"2PM members are looking forward to the event. Please show lots of support for the event," a representative for JYP Entertainment stated.
