Stephen Amell News: 6700 Fck Cancer T-Shirts Sold As 'Arrow' Star Pleased With The Campaign's Success!

Canadian actor has more than one way of doing good. When he's not beating up bad guys, associated with a charity campaign, the "Arrow" star is giving finger to cancer. He's even sporting a T-shirt that proves it in style.

Along with numerous other stars, Amell is using the recently launched platform, 'Represent' which enables celebs to crowd-fund merchandise. Amell's choice of charity is F --- Cancer.  After his mother successfully underwent treatment for breast cancer, F -- Cancer has been very important to him.

"My mom was going through chemotherapy in April of 2012 and she and I just took a photo outside of a bar in Toronto when I was visiting. I was just giving the middle finger to the camera - representing 'f- cancer," Amell tells The Hollywood Reporter. "At the time, I didn't know there was a charity called F- Cancer. They got in touch via Twitter and we've been working together ever since."

With 6,700 shirts sold so far and more than $120,000 in donation, the campaign has been a huge success. Amell is pretty close to matching record set by Will Ferrel and Chad Smith, who sold whopping 8,101 drum-off T-shirts earlier this year. Amell is hopeful that other people will associate themselves with Represent, which he refers to as a simple way to raise money for a wonderful purpose.

Leo Seigal, Represent co-founder said, "His communication with his fans is extremely authentic." "He replies to their comments, he shares their memes and speaks to them as as though he is speaking to fans personally. I think it makes them rally around him."

Highly-pleased with a global response as his shirts are being ordered all over the globe, Amell said, "It's really cool, some of the places the shirts have been ordered. I'm anticipating being on vacation and seeing someone along a beach wearing a F-- Cancer shirt."
