Brad Pitt Love `Fury' Movie Co-Star Shia LaBeouf; Angelina Jolie Husband Once Said Shia LaBeouf Stinks

Brad Pitt, "Fury" star, says he loves Shia LaBeouf. The husband of Angelina Jolie says Shia LaBeouf, who made a splash at Caberet and has been showing up with a paper bag over his head for movie openings,  is one of the best actors today. But that wasn't always the case. When Brad Pitt started shooting "Fury," rumors were going around the set that Brad Pitt kept Shia LaBeouf far away. Even moving the troubled actor into a separate hotel room.

According to Brad Pitt, 50, who is on the cover of British GQ's November issue, Shia LaBeouf deserves nothing but praise, especially after his performance in "Fury."

"Oh, I love this boy," Pitt told GQ. "He's one of the best actors I've ever seen. He's full-on commitment, man. He's living like it no one else, let me tell you."

Angelina Jolie's husband also opened up about an incident where he and Shia almost got into a fight on the set.

He told British GQ "We were driving down the road, I'm in the turret, Shia is at the other turret, and Scott is on the back, spitting juice. And I'm starting to get pissed off, I'm starting to get hot, because this is our home, he's disrespecting our home, you know? So I said, in the scene with the cameras rolling, 'You're going to clean that (bleep) up.' Shia clocks it, and you have to understand, we've been through severe boot camp already; we've been through a lot in this tank. Shia saw it and felt the same - he's disrespecting our home. So Shia had the same reaction I did and started having some words. ... Then I had to get in after the cameras were rolling and explain it to Scotty, you know. ... The funny thing is, when we got home at the end of the day and read the script, it said Scotty's character is 'chewing tobacco and spitting it on the back of the tank'. He was just doing as instructed in the script! So we were the knobs in the end. ..."

In his directorial debut in 2013, Since LaBeouf was caught plagiarizing and since then his public behavior has become increasingly bizarre. When LaBeouf was getting ready to play a soldier in the trenches, the 28-year-old method actor stopped showering for weeks at a time. Or ripping out one of his own teeth.

On January 7, 2014, the Daily Mail reported that LaBeouf was very unpopular on the set of Fury. The paper said Shia was always "trying to prove that he [i]s the most dedicated star."

A source told the Daily Mail at the time, "He pulled out his own tooth during the first few weeks of filming and then refused to shower for weeks on end so he could better understand how his character would have felt living in the trenches."

But it was the showering that cost LaBeouf the most points. The paper quoted a source saying "Shia was warned about his behavior by several people on set, including Brad Pitt and director David Ayer." Labeouf was moved to a different hotel.

"He didn't heed any of their warnings and found himself staying in a small bed-and-breakfast hotel away from the rest of the cast," the source added.
