U2 New Album Became One Of The Most Hated Record Yet? iTunes Surprise Release Sparks Outrage With Apple Phone Users

U2 Tour 2014: After a surprise release of a new album, "Songs Of Innocence," which surprised a huge amount of music lovers all over the world, U2's reputation hasn't been on a reputable mark as it triggered a lot of rants.

People called the U2, particularly the new album a "virus", "spam" and a "devious giveaway", among others.

It has come widely of a hate even to an extent that people posted a webpage simply entitled "U2 Sucks" and even tagged as the most hated band in America by Salon.

Reports of a U2 2014 Tour, meanwhile, are said to be brewing up and might also come out as a surprise. The band's affiliation with Apple might even give Apple users a surprise concert on video. We would never know.

In a report by Billboard recently, the band U2 confirmed that the band, who revolutionized rock with their hit songs "With Or Without You", "Ordinary Love" and "Beautiful Day", among others, previously confused fans saying that they had to delay the release of a new album but surprised fans with their album on everyone's Apple gadget.

"It seems to be taking longer for them to finish an album as they get older, but the great thing about U2 is that the whole of a record is always better than the sum of its parts," a source close to the project reportedly said. "That magic that the band always seems to capture ... they have yet to capture it."

In an interview with Hollywood reporter earlier this year, band members Larry Mullen and front man Bono hinted their work ethics when it cam on creating the new record they made and how the album wasn't yet ready.

"We've always needed collaborators to challenge us," says drummer Larry Mullen. "We're slow learners. We need to be creative, on the cutting edge, challenged, and it's really hard going, it's relentless, and we're relentless, and we have a history of breaking engineers, producers. I mean, people come out of working with U2 and just go, 'I just don't know what's happened; it feels like a lifetime has passed by.' And that's just the way we work."

Bono then added: "The album won't be ready till it's ready. But right now, people are walking a little differently -- well, they're not walking, they're running as if to a finish line. There's a couple of songs that are part of the story we haven't quite finished. We know we have to spend a couple of years taking these songs around the world, so they'd better be good."
