Sistar To Close Incheon Asian Games With 'Touch My Body' Performance

Girl group Sistar will be giving the competitors and visitors of the 17th Incheon Asian Games a snippet of K-pop.

The four-member group will be performing their hits "Touch My Body" and "I Swear" at the closing ceremony of the 16-day sports event, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

The theme of the upcoming ceremony will be "Remembering Asia Through Incheon" as organizers reportedly plan to tell the story about the union between the different Asian countries that attended the 2014 games.

Sistar, which debuted in 2010 under the management team Starship Entertainment, have shot to the top of music charts since their comeback with their second mini-album "Touch and Move." Soon after its release, the album ranked No. 1 on top music charts in Korea, including Melon, Mnet and Olleh Music, according to the website MSN Entertainment XIN.

"I'm so happy we got the No. 1 spot because I was really nervous when I checked soon after the song's release and didn't see it on the charts," stated Sistar member Hyorin

Fellow idol member Dasom added, "We have hopes for this album. As we have performed in the past four years, we have all grown to have some confidence and more passion when performing on stage."

Soon after the success of "Touch My Body," Sistar dropped another summer EP titled "Sweet & Sour." The track "I Swear" was spotted within the top ten on various music charts as word got out that popular K-pop producing team Duble Sidekick was involved in the production of the song, according to the media outlet Asia One.

The members of Sistar spent the summer promoting their new tracks. They recently appeared on the Korean variety program "Stargazing" where they revealed the hardships of dating when they were trainees.

"When we were rookies, the chief of our agency told us to refrain from dating for three years after debuting. He told us after three years to do whatever we want, so the dating prohibition is now over. Four years have passed since we debuted so this is our fifth year," explained the girls of Sistar, according to Allkpop.
