Bryan Konietzko Teases The Mysterious Kuvira Before The Legend Of Korra Book 4 Premiere: Rumors And Spoilers On Possible Villain

Before "The Legend of Korra" Book 4 begins its online airing tomorrow, co-creator Bryan Konietzko is teasing one particular character that is receiving a lot of attention before the premiere.

On September 26, Konietzko posted an image featuring Kuvira, a character that was introduced toward the end of "The Legend of Korra" Book 3.

"Wow! So fast. So cool," commented Konietzko, perhaps addressing how quickly the character is garnering intrigue from fans.

"We don't have any kind of confirmation on what Kuvira's backstory is, other than what Suyin has told us, but there are a lot of really cool theories."

One popular theory is that Kuvira is the love child between Zaheer and Suyin, based on a photo shown in a "Legend of Korra" Book 3 episode.

"It all stems from this picture that was in Suyin's office of her and her circus troupe," added Emergency Awesome. "It just looks like this person is Zaheer, so it's possible they had some kind of relationship, and Kuvira was the result of that."

"There are some things that Korra really, really needs in a villain," wrote GlassBender in the Avatar Wiki. "First of all it only makes sense that after having both Zaheer and Unalaq be as spiritual as can be that there should be a villain who does not think so well of them. What we need is a humanist villain, someone who despises the spirits and believes their presence does nothing but throw the world into the chaos."

What do you think about Kuvira? Will she be a villain? What impact will she have in "The Legend of Korra" Book 4?
