IU Comparisons Continue for Juniel After Release Of 'I Think I Love You'

K-pop singer Juniel's new single "I Think I'm In Love" continues to remain in the spotlight since its release on September 29.

The 21-year-old's new music video and title track for her first digital single album is being compared to the works of Korean pop sensation IU.

"This MV really reminds me of IU in Dream High 1. Nice voice!," commented YouTube user Akkim Jung on the Juniel's official page.

Another user of the video-sharing site, kismat raymati, added, "Juniel, I hope you get even bigger than IU."

Comparisons with IU started since the beginning of her career back in 2012. After a photo scandal involving IU and fellow idol member Eunhyuk of Super Junior, Juniel was reportedly questioned about the incident, according to the media outlet Popdust.

"The situation is actually very regrettable; however, it doesn't have anything to do with either of our music, so I don't give it much importance. I hope artists can just make music and be appreciated for it. Right now, all I think about is the music I want to write," stated Juniel regarding the scandal.

Juniel's "I Think I Love You" has gathered more than 100,000 views thus far and over 5,000 likes less than a week after the track's release date. In the music video, Juniel takes on the role of a girl in love who is finally able to go on a date with the man of her dreams, according to the website Yahoo Celebrity Philippines.

Although it isn't clear in the music video, Juniel revealed last year that the man of her dreams is someone with "a nice voice."

"His lips must be a little plump, and I like guys who are nice and affectionate towards me," revealed Juniel during an interview on the talk show "Section TV," according to Allkpop.
