With the help of his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry, Miles Teller is working on increasing the Oscar buzz around ‘Whiplash’! He definitely has been busy working on clearing his image before the award season strikes, clarifying his misunderstood W Magazine interview in which he dissed working on ‘Divergent’ with Shailene Woodley.

The 27-year-old actor threw some hints to the important people of Hollywood by posing next to a replica of Oscar statue with his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry:

It would have been far more awkward for Miles Teller to post it on his Twitter account so instead Keleigh Sperry did the work for him. Looks like ‘Divergent’ actor really wants to get recognized for his performance in ‘Whiplash’!

To make sure that he is on good terms with everyone in Hollywood (especially the ones responsible for giving out Oscars), Miles Teller clarified the interview with W Magazine, during which he commented that working on ‘Divergent’ made him feel dead inside.

"I think we talked on the phone for an hour, and if the conversation was transcribed I don't think it would have been framed the way it was framed," Miles Teller told Huffington Post.

"I've been offered good money to do absolutely terrible scripts that I haven't done. I guess the business reasons for me [to join Divergent] — it was a smaller part acting wise — but it would give me an opportunity to be in a film that would be seen internationally," he continued according to Us Magazine. "A big reason why I did the film was working with Shailene [Woodley] and director [Neil Burger]."

Towards the end of the interview with Huffington Post, ‘Whiplash’ actor said that it wasn’t ‘Divergent’ nor Shailene Woodley that made him feel dead inside. He was just overworked!

"I was just really burnt out," he concluded.
