"The Mentalist" season 7 spoilers confirm that Patrick James and Teresa Lisbon will lose a comrade as FBI agent Kim Fisher will be eased out from the show. Simon Baker's character will finally move on after the Red John saga this coming season.

Kim Fisher is played by Emily Swallow and she's leaving the show for another commitment as she joined "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce" in Bravo, said Franchise Herald.

However, she will be replaced by rookie FBI agent Michelle Vega who was earlier reported to create a love triangle with Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. But Primetime Unreality TV  said in its "The Mentalist" season 7 spoilers that the FBI rookie agent won't interfere in the blooming romance between the two main characters.

"There have been rumors that fan favorite Kimball Cho could be set for a new love interest in new FBI rookie agent Michelle Vega, who is replacing Emily Swallow's character Kim for the final season. There hasn't been anyone special in Cho's life for a good while now, will he end the series with a new love?" it said.

Michelle Vega is described very ambitious and is hinted to be very qualified for the position.

According to "The Mentalist" Season 7 Spoilers from Zap2it, another cast will return as Morena Baccarin is confirmed to come back by the third episode to reprise her role as Erika Flynn.

"Her character was last seen during the season 4. She was released from the prison because she convinced Jane as well as Lisbon played by Robin Tunney that she got important information on a case," she said.

In a featurette, executive producer Tom Szentgyorgyi confessed that the Red John story arc prevented them from exploring other directions for Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon. With the death of the main villain, the two FBI agents have now found the freedom to express their feelings for one another.
