Avengers 3 News: Spider-Man To Appear In The Movie Rumored As Sony And Marvel Are In Talks On Having Spidey Crossover In The Marvel Cinematic Universe!

There are other studios besides Disney that bear the Marvel banner. Marvel's characters are spread across different Hollywood roofs with Spider-Man at Sony and Fantastic Four and X-Men belonging to Fox.  Since these properties are under different umbrellas, comic fans are in a win-lose situation.  Though they are treated to plentiful Marvel films every year (four Marvel films this year alone), the possibility of their favorite icons crossing paths is eliminated which means, their favorite super-heroes Spider-Man and Wolverine will not fight alongside Iron Man or Captain America, unless some deals take place between the studios.

As per a new rumor making rounds, one similar deal might be on the table at Sony. As reported by HitFlix, their sources revealed that there are some "very cool" Spider-Man ideas being considered so that the Studio can put their most valued possession back on track and establish connections to the widespread Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The author of the piece, Drew McWeeny pointed out that Marvel Studios which is owned by Disney intends to use the complete library of characters and titles for their movies and if they can manage to strike a business deal, they will expand their world even further.

Before you start visualizing Peter Parker swinging around in The Avengers 3, there's a lot to clear up here. As HitFlix points out, this is just a discussion between studio executives and there is a possibility that an agreement between the studios don't even come into fruition. Right now, we can neither confirm nor deny that such a contract is being put in place.

This is not the first time, these developments have being considered. Fans may recall that  film producer and president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige confirmed that Disney and Sony were in talks to feature the Oscorp Tower from The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) in the New York City skyline during The Avengers, however, the plans were later dismissed when it was determined that the visual effect work had been completed already. This led to a lot of thinking as it confirmed that the corporations were at least considering the concept of a crossover.

Though it might prove extremely difficult to manage this from a creative point of view, wouldn't it be fun to see Peter Parker team up with Tony Stark and Steve Rogers against Thanos?

What do you think? Would you love to see Spider-Man in the MCU?
