Comedian and "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari revealed that he has had many one-sided conversations with "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively in an interview with Howard Stern this past Monday. According to US Magazine, Stern asked Ansari if he has ever dated anyone famous, to which Ansari responded with a story about how he tried to get in contact with Lively before she was married to her current husband, Ryan Reynolds.

Ansari recalled, "I was at some event sometime and I had heard Blake Lively was a fan and...we talked for a little while and she was really nice and we started [talking about food]...and we exchanged phone numbers and I have the text messages I sent with her if you guys want to hear them," explaining how he met Lively in the first place.

E Online reports that Ansari fired off a friendly text to Lively right after the event, saying, "Hey, it's Aziz. The animal dinners are over now unfortunately but I will show you photos from when I went. It was very tasty. Are you going to the Met Ball?" Ansari received no response, but approached Lively later at the Met Ball. She was seen with Karl Lagerfeld, so Aziz later texted her, "Hey it's Aziz. Please tell Karl he needs to call me, it's been too long since we bro'd out," in an effort to get her attention.

Once again, Lively didn't respond. However, Ansari kept on going. He texted, "I'm going to the Boom Boom Room for that after-party. Hopefully this is your number? Either way, good seeing you." Finally, Lively responded. She said, "Hey maybe I'll see you. So weird, Karl was just saying how bummed he was to miss you," adding some of her own humor to the interaction.

Ansari joked, "The last message I sent her - and I don't know why I sent this - is December 17, 2011, and I just write, 'Happy Holidays!' and then there's no response." Right after the interview, he tried texting Lively one last time: Read these messages on Howard. Hope that's cool. Doubt you'll respond to this."

Poor Aziz. Perhaps he'll have better luck in the future!
