The Korean remake of the Japanese drama "Cantabile Tomorrow" is wowing fans, and the show's lead stars Joo Won and Shim Eun Kyung opened up about the show on a recent episode of 'Entertainment Relay.'

They two stars talked about how their onscreen chemistry and character preparation to give fans an idea of what it's like to film the show.

Male lead Joo Won portrays the snobbish perfectionist Chiaki whose dream is to become a conductor. He shared, "I'm not sure how it will come out [onscreen], but I practiced every day for the past 5 months."

Shim Eun Kyung, who is the female lead, Nodame, plays a talented performer with something holding her back from achieving her dreams. To prepare for the role she said, "I would practice [playing the piano] 2-3 hours every day."

Shim Eun Kyung continued, "I thought I wouldn't have much in common [with my character], but we both don't like to clean, are messy, and don't wash ourselves often. I'm a lot like her in that sense."

When the actors were asked about their taste in classical music, Joo Won replied, "After watching the original version of 'Cantabile', I fell into classical music a bit and thought, 'Ah, classical music is good.' But then I went back to listening to pop music." Shim Eun Kyung responded, "I am a fan of classical music. When I studied overseas in the States, I enjoyed listening to classical music as a hobby. It gave me a sense of stability and helped me to study so I listen to it consistently."

When it comes to their love chemistry, Joo Won insisted saying, "You should look forward to it, right?", and shared some hints on what to expect by the viewers, its not like any other love story, combination of comedy and drama. He added, "We have an ability to upgrade each other. It's like a synergy effect that enables me to do well."

'Cantabile Tomorrow' is began airing on October 13.
