2NE1 and Psy have been at the top of the charts for the last part of 2012, both of them extending out to other countries worldwide. Now, word is that G-Dragon is preparing his first solo album in 3 years and people are wondering if he will take the crown after 2NE1 and Psy.

YG Entertainment recently stated that G-Dragon is in the process of making music videos, not just for the title song but others in the album as well. This will be his first solo album since 2009's Heartbreaker. Songwriting is not new to him though, always writing lyrics and creating songs for his other bands, so people expect that his solo album will be of high quality as well.

If G-Dragon scores big in the latter part of 2012, it's not an exaggeration to say that YG Entertainment has taken over 2012.

In July, when the big hitting stars came back, it was like seeing a war of the stars. However, when 2NE1 released their single "I Love You," no other competition could do as well as they did, remaining at the top of the charts for the remainder of July.

Then Psy (who is also a part of YG Entertainmet) came back with "Gangnam Style" which is currently the #1 on the music charts around the country.
