Will 2PM Break Into The U.S. Music Industry After Upcoming Concerts?

K-pop group 2PM began their "2PM World Tour GO CRAZY" concerts with a performance in Seoul, Korea earlier this month.

The six-member boy group might be looking to break into the music industry in the U.S. as they've set dates to perform in New Jersey, Illinois, Texas and California in November.

According to the official JYP Facebook page, 2PM will be performing at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on November 14 and then head to Rosemont, Illinois for their concert at the Rosemont Theatre, which will be held two days later. They will be performing at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas as well as the Shrine Theatre in Los Angeles, California later on in the month.

For their world tour, the members of 2PM have prepared "unit performances," where two of the singers team up and stage a mini duet performance for the audience, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment. As this is the first time 2PM will be performing in the U.S, they're expected to fully showcase each singer's performance skills through this mini-performances, which will help in further promoting themselves.

There had previously been rumors of 2PM making their debut in the U.S. several years ago, but the founder of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young, was quick to shut them down.

"2PM's debut is an exaggerated rumor," wrote Park on his Twitter account, JY Park, according to Soompi.

He added, "2PM is only concentrating on making a great album right now Nothing else after that is confirmed. U.S debut is so out of range at this time."

Although it's not confirmed how 2PM will do in the U.S., they've officially broken into the Japanese music industry with their latest Korean album, "Go Crazy," and their Japanese single, "Midarettemina." "Go Crazy" ranked No. 1 and 2 on Japan's Tower Records Combined Sales Chart while "Midarettemina" took the No. 3, 4 and 5 slots on the same music chart, according to the media outlet Star N news.

"Go Crazy" also debuted at No. 1 on the Tower Records Combined Albums Chart while "Midarettemina" debuted at No. 1 on the Tower Records Chart.

Regardless of where their material reaches musical success, 2PM is all about sticking together.

"We have been through so much together. Every time we faced a problem, we talked about it one by one to sort things out. We still have a lot to show you. I think 2PM can survive for a long time thanks to our teamwork," stated 2PM member Jun.K during an interview with the Korean news outlet Financial News.
