Super Junior member Donghae turned 29 on October 15, and he spent it posting Instagram photos and thanking the thousands of Super Junior fans, also known as ELFs, who greeted him a happy birthday.

Donghae (@leedonghae) posted three lighthearted Instagram photos during his special day.

The first birthday photo showed a stack of presents he received from fans and he expressed his sincere appreciation not only for the gifts but for their unwavering support for nearly a decade. Good job, Donghae fans - it was enough to make his heart flutter!

The second shows a picture of Donghae on a newspaper ad from fans who wanted to proudly shout their birthday greeting for all the world to hear. To which Donghae responded, "Putting Donghae's birthday in Sports Seoul! As expected from ELF! It's the best, touched!"

The third and last of Donghae's birthday Instagram posts was a handdrawn message from his fellow Super Junior member Kangin. The message included a picture cake with 29 candles and the initials "D.H." at the base, with a short heartwarming message for the celebrating idol.

Donghae returned the love with a shoutout for Kangin, "As expected (from) our Kangin hyung! No matter where he is, he takes care of dongsaeng's birthday, the cake of love. I love you, hyung! I will eat it well. I feel full!"
