Sam Claflin Thinks She Doesn’t Deserve His Wife; ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Finnick Odair Recalls How He Met Laura Haddock

Sam Claflin couldn't be more perfect for his role in the romantic flick, "Love, Rosie." In this modern age, he proves that hopeless romantic persons still exist. He talked about how he first met his wife, Laura Haddock.

"My wife, Laura, is undoubtedly my best friend. We met at an audition for My Week with Marilyn and there was an instant spark. We found out we had the same agent and then bumped into each other the next morning at [a London Underground] station," said the 28-year-old to The Edit.

While they only just met, Claflin knew that he wanted to marry Haddock: "I didn't know anything about her other than that her name was Laura, she was very attractive and she seemed lovely. But I went home, woke my friend up at 7am and said, 'I just met the girl I want to marry. I love this girl like, I love her. She's perfect.'"

Their romance nearly didn't work out because they haven't kept in touch. Fortunately, Haddock remembered Claflin's name and was able to find him on Facebook. They talked "for about two months, every single day" when Claflin was filming "Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides."

The "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor also recalls several times when he gets insecure. Nonetheless, he makes sure that such insecurity inspires him to become a better husband.

"I still feel as though I don't deserve Laura, so I feel like I constantly have to show her that I'm a good guy. Paranoia can be a killer, but it excites me and it keeps me on my toes and it makes me work hard for her. And for some stupid reason I think she feels the same way," he said.
