Amidst the strong, confident self of Nicole Scherzinger in her showbiz career and in her blossoming love life with actor Lewis Hamilton is a soft spot that she is trying to reveal artistically in her new album Big Fat Lie. In interviews, the ex-Pussycat singer reveals that the message of the songs contained in this album reflects her struggles that lead to her becoming.

"We all go through our own battles and hard times and a big fat lie is about how we mask what's really going on. This album is about me revealing some of my personal struggles and facing them head on. Once you realize something is a lie you are on your way to the truth, where you will find your own clarity, peace and acceptance," Nicole said as quoted in Official Charts.

The Heartbreaker singer specifically talks about her eating disorder, bulimia that she had been suffering for eight years.

'I wasn't enough, that I wasn't pretty, that I was fat, and that I wasn't worthy of more," the X-Factor judge told The Evening Standard.

The Daily Mail quoted the songstress' response to an interview with VHI with her saying that she has been keeping the disorder from her family and friends for fear of being judged or causing them worry or trouble.

"I never spoke about it, I never want to play a victim and I never wanted my family to hear about things from me because I think it would break their heart. I guess it was like my addiction. I never did drugs, but kinda doing things to myself was my addiction," she said.

Nicole Scherzinger's Bat Fat Lie album is produced by Tricky and The-Dream with hit songs like Heartbreaker, Girl With A Diamond Heart, Run. The song Electric Blue is a song in collaboration with the rapper T.I.

The singer has disbanded from the Pussycat Dolls since 2011 and from then on started her singing career.

Her previous songs who have made it to the top of the charts include Don't Hold Your Breath and her first album, Killer Love-both are from 2011.
