SHINee's Jonghyun be more open about his emotions.

On October 19, SHINee member Jonghyun explained through SNS his desire to connect better with his fans. 

"I wish the times when [people] could write emotionally were back," Jonghyun posted to his Twitter account. "Writing cool things is nice too, but I also like writing emotional things. To talk about the hard times, the happy times, I wish things could be like that again."

While there was no indication about what triggered the tweet, Jonghyun seemed to be expressing his hope that social media could be a better outlet for him to be honest and expressive.

"I also wish other people wouldn't make fun because emotional writing makes them cringe. I just wish things were like that," he added.

Jonghyun's tweets ultimately earned sympathy and encouragement from his followers.
