‘Gone Girl’ Book Sales Continue To Soar Following Release Of Movie; ‘Gone Girl’ Movie Dethroned By ‘Fury’ At Box Office

Following the release of "Gone Girl" movie, "Gone Girl" book continue to receive recognition which is proven by the soaring book sales. Recently, Gillian Flynn's novel about a dysfunctional marriage topped the New York Times Bestseller List. Sales from Amazon and Barnes and Noble likewise show improvements.

However, Brad Pitt's war film "Fury" has dethroned "Gone Girl" in terms of box-office success. "Fury" reportedly debuted with $23.5 million ticket sales on its opening weekend bringing "Gone Girl" to second place with its $17.8 million ticket sales.

Following the two films are "The Book of Life" with $17 million and "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" with $12 million. The adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel "The Best of Me" made it to the fifth spot after opening with $10.2 million.
