Many users have been putting Apple and Samsung products side by side because of how the two companies continue to introduce devices that feature the most advanced features and full functionality on the go. As the iPad Mini release date draws nearer, users pit it against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.

The Galaxy Tab 4 was released in May 2014 while the iPad Mini 3 release date is set in November 2014, according to GSMArena.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 measures 186.9 x 107.9 x 9 millimeters compared to the iPad 3 which measures 200 x 134.7 x 7.5 millimeters. The Galaxy weighs 276 grams while the iPad Mini 3 weighs 331 grams.

The Samsung device features TFT capacitive touchscreen and 16 million colors. The display measures 7.0 inches and has a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels with 216 pixel density. The iPad Mini 3 has a 7.9-inch display, a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and 326 pixel density. The Galaxy Tab 4 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processor, has 1.5GB of RAM and 8 or 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The Apple product features an A7 chip with 64-bit architecture with M7 motion coprocessor. Users can choose from 16, 64 or 128 GB of internal memory. There is no microSD card slot in the upcoming product.

Samsung offers a 3.15 primary camera with 2048 x 1536 pixels and a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera. Apple offers the 5-megapixel iSight camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 operates on the AndroidOS v4.4.2 (KitKat) while the Apple iPad Mini 3 runs on the new iOS8. Samsung features the non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery, providing up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 190 hours of music playing. The Mini 3 features the rechargeable Li-Po battery that provides up to 10 hours of surfing and video and music playing.

On the iPad Mini 3 price, the product will retail at $399 at least, according to Apple.com. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 retails at around $299.
