While the rest of the world is waiting for a Friends reunion in 2014, what with Courteney Cox pitching a series about middle age friends that would reunite Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, Kudrow is having her own comeback.

Doing an Oscar-cringeworthy Al Pacino impression, Lisa Kudrow leads the trailer for the return of her cult comedy The Comeback.

On The Comback, popular middle-age actress Valerie Cherish, played by Lisa Kudrow, is taking the reins on her career.

The 2005 cult hit The Comeback will return to HBO next month for a limited six-episode run. HBO dropped the first trailer, reminding us that the show is a "standalone event series." If the ratings go well, The Comeback may get full season renewal.

The Comeback has been on hiatus for nine years.

In the trailer, Valerie announces that she got a part on an HBO show, but gulps down her excitement as she sees she's playing a "neurotic older sitcom actress."

The Comeback was created by Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King. The Comeback is a mock-reality TV parody that shows former sitcom star Valerie so hungry to be back on TV that she lets reality TV cameras document her every move. Laura Silverman and Malin Akerman will also be making appearances in the second season.
