2NE1 has successfully gotten their name out in the U.S. 

The four-member girl group's single "I Am The Best" has been playing on radio stations in the U.S. amidst reports that 2NE1 might be breaking up. 

The hit single was played on the radio station WBMP New York 24 times while it was featured on WODS Boston 14 times, according to Billboard. "I Am The Best" reportedly earned its best sales week yet in America just two weeks ago and has topped Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. 

2NE1's "I Am The Best" is returning to the spotlight after news broke that 2NE1's leader CL would be making her debut in the U.S. Soon after CL's upcoming U.S. debut was announced, fellow band member Minzy took all 2NE1 references off her Twitter and Instagram account, further sparking rumors that the girl group would be breaking up. 

"I have no idea what I will do when there is no 2EN1. 2NE1 is the only girl group that I log win all of K-pop history," commented social media user Kpopver.

2NE1's management agency YG Entertainment shut down the break up rumors immediately. 

"We are aware that Minzy's SNS account has been receiving attention since yesterday," YG Entertainment announced in a statement, according to the website SBS. 

The statement continued, "Minzy personally manages her own Instagram. It is absurd that there are rumors that we are in talks concerning 2EN1's break up due to what happened on her personal SNS account. The account has been changed back."

Despite the recent attention that 2NE1 has been receiving in the U.S. music industry as of late due to the rising popularity of "I Am The Best," which has led fans to express concern that CL's debut might be taking away from the girls' success as a group. 

"I think it's unfair that CL will be the only one to benefit the growing popularity of 2NE1's 'I Am The Best.' Just when 2NE1 (the group) is making a buzz in the U.S. mainstream music, CL decided to go solo and enjoy the hard work of the other members (she barely made it to number 1 in Korea, now she wants to go global?). All T no shade," wrote fellow social media user Augustus Durante.
