Deadpool Movie Cast: Ryan Reynolds Wants An R-Rated Version And Will Leave If It’s PG-13? Fox Wants The Younger Market But Hardcore Fans Demand The Extreme!

The "Deadpool" Movie is a go and Ryan Reynolds is penciled in for a completely rebooted, edgier and sharper Merc with a Mouth. But if his vision of an R-Rated swashbuckler would not pull through, will he leave the project?

Ryan Reynolds certainly wants to reprise his role as Deadpool but the movie should be handled right should he return or else flashbacks of the X-Men Origins Deadpool would once again enter the minds of the fans.

Screen Rant quotes Ryan Reynolds when he revealed some Deadpool movie news and updates:

"[In] its current iteration the movie's actually very small," Reynolds revealed whilst doing press for animated snail story 'Turbo'. "There's minimal impact to the studio, which is the way we're kind of presenting it to them. We're saying 'Look, the budget is minimal. Therefore, can we do this the way it should be done?' Which unfortunately needs a Rated R [age certificate] or it needs those elements."

Ryan Reynolds also confirmed that his Deadpool would not be connected to the Deadpool in the X-Men Origins movie:

"[Deadpool] will actually have no connection to the one that was in Wolverine."

However Deadpool's creator Rob Liefeld has justified that a PG 13 Deadpool movie would be as awesome as the R-Rated version that Ryan Reynolds wants:

Bingo RT @Scott_MDavis: @THE_REAL_JLUCAS @robertliefeld It can easily be made with a PG-13 rating.

Thank u RT @hedofthebloom: @robertliefeld If HANNIBAL can air on primetime network television, DEADPOOL can be PG-13 and still be bad ass. — robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) July 30, 2014

All you who want to die on the R rated hill, we will replace you with equally enthusiastic teenagers. Deadpool can't be stopped.

Yup RT @JediKnightJosh: @robertliefeld I've understood the whole "It's gotta be R!" crowd. DP can be hilarious and brutal in a PG13 setting. — robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) July 30, 2014

With Rob Liefeld's insistence on PG 13 and Ryan Reynolds' insistence on an R-Rating, one has to give in, and the PG 13 side could emerge victorious.

Comic book blogger "Deadstroke" has commented on Facebook that:

"Ryan Reynolds is probably traumatized by backlash that he got on X-Men Origins, RIPD and Green Lantern. If he thinks the Deadpool movie is going to be compromised by the PG 13 rating, then you can bet that he won't join the cast"

But regardless of the rating, the Deadpool movie is going to happen and the X-Force movie would probably be the set up to it as Fox has been reported saying they would focus on the X-Force movie after X-Men Apocalypse.

While an R-Rating would be a blast, is it worth losing Ryan Reynolds? Should he just accept the PG 13?
