What happened on last week's season premiere? What should we look forward to for tonight's episode and the rest of the Boston-centric Season 12? Warning: spoilers ahead!

According to TVRuckus, "It will be difficult for TOP CHEF BOSTON to exceed the intensity of its season premiere. Two chefs were eliminated and there were others that could have gone out the door along with them. In addition to the stunning and quick exits came a testy exchange between Tom Colicchio and Michael Patlazahn, the chef sent home after the Elimination Challenge. Trying to bamboozle Colicchio is impossible and he'll call you on it. He did and Michael Patlazahn was gone. Then there was Chef Aaron Grissom who made a rookie mistake and had Padma Lakshmi torch him. She spit out a mouthful of his pork dish because it was so fatty she almost gagged on it. And yet Grissom did not land in the bottom three. It wasn't a stellar night for the season's Cheftestants. In tonight's episode 2 of TOP CHEF BOSTON, the city's first responders get served a meal that just happens to be the Elimination Challenge of the night. Will they be happy with the dishes prepared for them? To avoid elimination, the chefs must work in teams to make the meal for Boston's finest. Uh oh, that is bound to be difficult and here's why. The Quickfire Challenge in week one grouped four chefs together in a time challenge. The slowest chef on the slowest team was sent home and finger pointing was nasty, about something as simple as filleting a mackerel and opening shellfish. Have the week one survivors learned anything about teamwork? Tune in tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT and find out."

Care for some more spoilers?

"The season premiere of Top Chef Boston reinforced a simple rule for the chefs competing on the show. Always make sure the judges get your best plates of food. When Aaron, the already combative chef from Los Angeles, served Padme a piece of pork belly that was covered with fat, she rightly spit the food out into her napkin. You only have one chance to make an impression on the judges, so make sure your plate isn't a sea of fat and gristle. With such a deep cast of chefs there is no margin for error in service. Tonight's all new episode, titled Boston's Bravest and Finest, features two challenges unique to the city. First there's the Quickfire Challenge with a Paul Revere twist. The chefs will have to wait for two lanterns to illuminate to let them know whether they are cooking food from the land or the sea. It's a play off of Revere's famous "one if by land and two if by sea" proclamation during the Revolutionary War. In the preview we get to not only see which lanterns light up, but also a bit of the chaos in the kitchen as the chefs prepare to fight over the limited ingredients. One chef, Adam, makes the mistake of not noticing the lanterns, and is forced to use the worst of all the available choices. Tonight's Elimination Challenge features the chefs having to feed members of Boston's police and fire departments. To make things even more difficult the chefs are broken up into teams of three, and they won't know their ingredients until they begin cooking. In this preview Aaron, who always looks to be combative with his fellow chefs, refuses to give an inch to his team when it comes to preparation for the challenge. He doesn't care that the ingredients are going to be a surprise. He wants them to brainstorm every possible situation, while his teammate Keriann takes a more reasonable approach. The result is a team already splitting apart even before they start cooking," explained Hidden Remote.

What other exciting things does "Top Chef" have planned for Season 12?

Finally, "According to the Boston Globe, viewers can expect to see an impressive roster of celebrities this season, including appearances by Emmy Rossum, Rob Gronkowski, Dennis Eckersley, Jacques Pépin, George Wendt, and Andy Cohen. And, of course, let's not forget the Top Chef judge sightings. While in Boston, judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, and Hugh Acheson spent their own time dining at various restaurants around town - including Sofra, Drink, Coppa and more," reported BostInno.

It will certainly be interesting to see all of this play out! Check out the "Boston's Bravest And Finest" preview videos featuring Richard Blais, Tom Colicchio, Padma Lakshmi and Gail Simmons below:
