'Ted' 2 Cast Stephen Collins Child Molestation Allegation Caused Him His Role; '7th Heaven' Alum Admission Too Much To Handle For Seth MacFarlane?

Following the highly controversial allegation or recorded admission of child molestation released by TMZ that "7th Heaven" star Stephen Collins is facing right now, the actor was immediately fired from a role in the upcoming "Ted 2" movie.

Collins who is best known for his role in the hit TV series "7th Heaven" which aired on 1996-2007, as Rev. Eric Camden was supposed to take on a small part in Seth MacFarlane's foul mouthed, drunkard Teddy Bear sequel that is currently in production.

While, the 67-year-old actor has yet to be charged following his admission to sexually molesting children between 10-13 years old, MacFarlane and Universal Pictures made it sure that his involvement in the sequel will immediately cut off.

Reps for the movie reportedly confirmed the action, but either MacFarlane or Universal Pictures failed to give comment on the issue.

Collins previously teased his involvement in "Ted 2" movie when he posted a tweet saying,

"I'd tell you but @SethMacFarlane would have to kill me."

It has been previously reported that Collins role in the movie is so small that dropping him would not affect the story of the film.

Meanwhile, the sequel to the foul-mouthed drunkard teddy bear movie had its share of legal impediment when it was involved in a "copyright infringement" case. Bengal Mangle Productions filed a lawsuit against Seth MacFarlane, claiming that the genius behind the live teddy bear stole the idea behind the hit film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter who got a copy of the complaint, Acting School Academy is the original screenplay where the idea of Ted was stolen.

It came out in 2008 where like Ted, a foul-mouthed drtunkard teddy bear named Charlie is the lead star of the film.

The resemblance of the setting and the story itself is shocking, Charlie who lives in the world of humans has human friends just like Ted and "has a penchant for drinking, smoking, prostitutes."

The character of Charlie soon got his own spinoff series on YouTube titled, Charlie the Abusive Teddy Bear on 2009.

The complaint claims, "Defendants' Ted character is strikingly similar to Plaintiff's Charlie character. Defendants had access to Charlie because Acting School Academy was available and widely disseminated on websites including YouTube.com, Facebook.com, iTunes, FunnyorDie.com, Vimeo.com, Metacafe.com, Koldcast.tv, and Blip.tv from on or around July 31, 2009 to November 30, 2010."

Seth MacFarlane has yet to comment on the issue as of press time. However, it seems like the issues has been quietly resolved as "Ted 2" movie has reportedly started shooting and is scheduled for release on June 26, 2015.
