On October 23, 2014 CJ E&M revealed to the public that Family Secrets will be a remake of the popular Chilean telenovela Where is Elissa. The show is set to officially premiere on its general entertainment channel tvN starting October 28, 2014.

Family Secrets will be a 100-episode revenge melodrama about a mother (portrayed by Sin Eun Gyeong) from a wealthy family who lost her son to a tragic accident and later her only daughter went missing as well. Her world becomes more complicaited when she discovers that her daughter was kidnapped by someone from her own family. 

The Korean version of the hit Chilean series will also feature former K-Pop singer Hyo Young, from the group Co-Ed School, and other veteran TV stars headlining the show, Sin Eun Gyeong and Ryu Tae Joon.

Nowadays, there are many Japanese remakes such as, Tomorrow Cantabile and Liars Game; therefore, it will be interesting for people to watch a Chilean remake as well.

Family Secret will officially start airing on tvN daily from Monday through Thursday at 9:40AM (KST) starting October 28.
