Beyond just YG Entertainment, the 2NE1 members have very musical family members!

Many 2NE1 fans are well aware that Minzy's grandmother, Gong Ok Jin, is well known as one of Korea's legendary traditional folk dancers. However, many might not know that Minzy's older sister, Gong Min Young, is also a singer. 

Gong Min Young is a singer that is not well-known in the mainstream Korean music industry because she is not involved in K-Pop, instead she focuses on Christian Contemporary Music (CCM). She utilized her singing skills and released her first official album Rebirth on October 24 through Sony Music Entertainment. 

Gong Min Young strays from the usual CCM concept and creates a unique album by using different genres in her album, such as EDM, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. Normally CCM music goes by pop, occasionally rock, and mostly worship style; however, she uses all types of style to share the Gospel message, making this album unique from many other Christian music. 

Along, with diversifying the music in her album, she has composed and produced most of the songs by herself, showing off her strong songwriting skills. 

Many people can look forward to an up-beat CCM album and people who normally do not listen to CCM can check this album out because it will feature songs of all style.
