Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: This Is Actually The Thinnest Tablet In The Market, Boasts 8.4" QHD Display, 2GB RAM, 3 Camera Sensors

A couple of weeks ago, we saw Apple's launch event for the iPad Air 2 which it proudly labels as the thinnest tablet in the market at 6.1mm thin.

However, if you have been paying attention to other announcements from manufacturers, you will notice that the new tablet from PC maker Dell is actually slightly thinner.

At only 6mm, the Android-powered slate does not overtake Apple by a large margin, but its specs are decent enough to be thrust into the conversation of being the best tablet around.

The Dell Venue 8 7000 was officially launched at an event last month, and according to a report, the device will be ready for shipping by next month.

So aside from its super-thin body, what else does this Android tablet boast?

In the report, the device features an 8.3-inch display with a whopping resolution of QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440). It is also powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3500 chipset which promises extensive processing power.

Also on board is a 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and probably a microSD card slot.

However, what separates the Dell Venue 8 7000 from the competition is its triad of camera sensors at its back. These three sensors are reportedly responsible for the device's ability to take 3D shots.

Using the phone's RealSense 3D technology, the user can even make camera shots even more beautiful with the use of several some editing tools.

So how much does Dell expect in exchange for all of these features? Around $499 in the US, for now.
