Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Hae Sook kept their promises with the official milestone of ten million tickets sold for their movie, "The Thieves."

At an event held on Saturday, there were many fans that had seen the movie over 5 times, fans that had come up from other parts of the country and ones who had prepared flowers and gifts. Kim Hae Sook and Kim Soo Hyun prepared signed posters, which excited the crowd in the room. 

Kim Hae Sook said, "I'm so happy that I was able to portray such a good role and be involved in a 10,000,000 ticket movie. Thank you all for making this possible and attending despite the terrible weather."

Kim Soo Hyun agreed, saying, "We made this promise hoping that we would break the 10,000,000 mark but it's incredible that it actually came true. Thank you to all of you who made our movie reach this milestone."

The promised event actually attended by the two actors was incredibly popular with the audience, who had to be chosen to attend the event. The one, who was chosen for Kim Hae Sook's kiss promise, came out with the prepared flower bouquet and added to the generally happy atmosphere of the event. 

Kim Soo Hyun promised that he would give a piggy-back ride to a fan and a middle school student who came up from another part of Korea was chosen. She started to cry when he called her number and seemed ecstatic. Kim Soo Hyun made some witty and comical remarks in order to get the student to calm down and carried out his promise, as shown in the picture above. With the girl on his back, he went around the theater and acquiesced to all the flashes from the fans' cameras. 

"The Thieves" are about 10 thieves who are after a diamond hidden in a casino in Macau. It's the sixth movie in Korean movie history to break the 10,000,000 ticket record.
