Legend Of Korra Co-Creators On 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Sequel After Book 4, Plus [SPOILERS] The Fate Of Sokka And Suki And P'li's Backstory

Before "The Legend of Korra" ends forever, the co-creators took the time to answer some of fans' burning questions, particularly about a sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Recently, Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino did a Q&A session through the Avatar Wiki, and they answered some very unusual questions, starting with P'li's tragic backstory before killing her off on "The Legend of Korra" Book 4.

"Right before battle seemed like a good time for these hardened criminals to let down their guards a bit and show their vulnerabilities to each other, while allowing us a glimpse into their relationship," answered Bryan Konietzko.

"It wasn't just P'li's backstory, but also her intense history with Zaheer. They didn't just go out on a couple dates before being sent into prison. Knowing that helped to set up his deep loss, which ultimately allowed him to 'enter the void.'"

Meanwhile, fans have been curious as to the fate of Sokka and his love interest from "Avatar: The Last Airbender," Suki.

"They moved to the suburbs," wrote Michael DiMartino, perhaps with a hint of slyness to it.

Given that Zuko, Toph and Katara have all made appearances in "The Legend of Korra," is it possible Sokka and Suki may still be alive as well? Or did they truly already pass away from old age? Did they die in some other manner?

And finally, DiMartino answered the question of an "Avatar: The Last Airbender" sequel with a simple answer.

"No."

In addition, DiMartino confirmed that there will be no special episode or flashback for "Avatar: The Last Airbender" before the end of Book 4, nor will there be another Avatar series after "The Legend of Korra."

Sadly, this is truly the end.
