Hugh Jackman Treated For Skin Cancer Again, ‘X-Men’ Star Experiences Third Basal Cell Carcinoma Scare

Hugh Jackman has reportedly undergone skin cancer treatments for the third time.

The 46-year-old "X-Men" actor confirmed the news of his cancer scare to E! News after being spotted with a bandage on his nose while spending time with his family in New York City.

According to Jackman's rep, who spoke with E! News, the star is "all good" after the treatment, which is his third in the last year for basal cell carcinoma. The actor previously had cancer cells removed in November of 2013 and earlier this year in May.

The Daily News published photos of Jackman sporting a bandage on his nose while walking his dog near his family home in the West Village over the weekend. The actor tried to remain low key in dark sunglass and a hoodie, while his wife Debra, daughter Ava, and son Oscar accompanied him on the stroll.

Jackman addressed his health earlier this year in an interview with E! News.

"So just to be clear, it is skin cancer-it's a  basal cell carcinoma, which of all the skin cancers, is the most minor," explained Jackman, adding, "But you do need to take care of it immediately," he clarified, "because it's growing."

The actor, who is known for playing tough guy roles, urges people to wear sunscreen and get regular examinations to prevent the disease.

"It doesn't matter who you are, get checkups," Jackman told E! News. During a separate interview with E!, the actor added, "Wear sunscreen! Don't be like me as a kid. Trust me, wear sunscreen!"

Jackman discussed living with the constant threat of a reoccurrence of skin cancer in an interview with Fox News earlier this year.

"I'm realistic about the future and it's more than likely that I'll have at least one more but probably many more, which is not uncommon for an Aussie particularly from English stock growing up in Australia where I don't remember ever being told to put sunscreen on," he said. "But the beauty of this is it's all preventable, it's just about getting proper check-ups. I can be typical man, a little lazy, I couldn't be bothered and now I'm not lazy at all."
