Hip hop group Epik High has been dominating the music charts with their new album Shoebox after 2 long years of break. Not only their title songs "Happen Ending" and "Spoiler" but also other songs on the tracklist have been remaining on the top of music charts.

During a recent interview, Epik High said, "I think it's really luck. We're not sure why we're receiving so much love and so we're on a 'mental breakdown' mode right now," showing humility.

They said, "We're just so happy. It's different from when we got 1st place before. It's because it took us so long this time," and "It's been 6 years. The album itself took 2 years but for a moment like this to come, it took us 6 years. It's crazy."

The reason Epik High had such low confidence about this album may be that they had a long time of break. Many other singers and groups make comebacks frequently but Epik High had 2 years that they call the 'slump period'.

They said, "Mithra would always say, 'I'm not sure if I could do this' or 'I don't feel confident about this'. He would come if we had events and such but he wouldn't pick up his phone all the other times, and wouldn't even come to the recording room."

Tablo then said, "But looking back, I think I was going through slump period too, where I felt like nothing was going right. The members had to carry each other during that time. I think that's why this team is so precious. There are more solos than teams in the hip hop world. But if we didn't have this team, we would not have been able to do music for 11 years. That's why this album is more meaningful to us."

Epik High will be continuing their activities with Shoebox in Korea and will hold their concert "PARADE 2014" on November 14 to 16 in Seoul.
